The latest little upgrade
The latest little upgrade is a piece of felt shoved between the passenger-side A-pillar trim and the right-end of the dash board. I think the worse-when-hot creaking I’ve been hearing is the sound of those two pieces of trim rubbing together. I sure hope so.
My brother will be among the first to try out this upgrade, as he’s arriving tomorrow and is using the 900 as his transportation. Of course, he’ll have to contend with the unstitched driver’s seat… the remainder of the original stitching on the seat gave way over Memorial Day weekend, when I parked the wrong-way down and the sunroof leaked onto the driver seat, and when I got in the wet car to move it into the garage the stitching failed.
I hope we’ll get a good write up from E after he’s experienced the 900 with its improved suspension!
Sounds like it’s time for the the Alcantara-covered Recaro seat upgrade for the 900 then! Of course, you would probably want to figure out how to stop the leak before doing that. Cheers!
The rattle is coming from the door, not the dash!!! I think that as a review of the BSOS racer, the car is now much more assured on the road due to the suspension upgrade. Before, I was a bit on-edge when driving quickly in the car, but the suspension has taken care of that. Now the problem seems to be one of insufficient power! Maybe I’ll need to try out the R next time I’m in town!!!
